Paul has 17 years of experience in investing and financing renewable energy and infrastructure projects. He worked as Senior Portfolio Manager Infrastructure in the global infrastructure team of Dutch asset manager PGGM Investments and was instrumental in the successful roll-out of the renewable energy and co-investment portfolio in Europe and North America. Paul was responsible for committing and investing over EUR 700 million. Prior to joining PGGM, Paul worked for Dutch utility Nuon as Manager Project Finance. He arranged and closed project financings for renewable energy projects in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Norway, Spain and India. Paul has served as an executive and a non-executive director on the board of companies in the USA, Guernsey and Spain. Paul is fluent in Dutch, English and German. Manuel contributes more than 18 years international experience in infrastructure banking gained with WestLB in Germany, the UK and Spain. During that time he has closed more than 40 structured financings across sectors and jurisdictions. Until 2009 he has been particularly active in structuring, underwriting and syndicating renewable energy transactions in Spain in the wind, solar PV and solar thermal segments, each of these accounting for 1.200, 150 and 250 MW, respectively. Upon co-founding Voltiq, Manuel has been active in structuring debt and equity transactions in Europe and Latin America. Note that Manuel was the lead banker in the Andasol I & 2, Extresol I and Manchasol 1 & 2 CSP financings. Manuel is fluent in Spanish, English and German. Joost has 17 years of experience in the development, acquisition and management of renewable energy projects and companies. He was Executive Board Member of The Clean Energy Company, the renewable energy branch of global retail and distribution company SHV. Prior to working for SHV, Joost worked for Dutch utility Nuon as Senior Development Manager of the Nuon International Renewables Projects team. From 2002 – 2005 he was responsible for Nuon’s investments in Spain based in Seville. Joost has served as an executive and non-executive director on the board of (renewable) energy companies in the United Kingdom, Germany, Chile and The Netherlands. Juan Botella is Senior Director at Voltiq. Before joining Voltiq, he spent 8 years working in Project Finance and Business Development for water infrastructure projects at sustainable technology company Abengoa. There he gained extensive experience in structuring, financing and closing projects in more than ten countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.  At Abengoa he also gained experience in Corporate Finance, M&A, and Asset Valuation, and worked as Director of Structured Finance from 2013 to 2015 in China. Prior to Abengoa, he worked in the Investment Department at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Beijing. Juan holds bachelors degrees in both Business Administration and Law from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid (Spain). Additionally, he studied International Law at Maastricht University (The Netherlands) and holds a Postgraduate in International Trade from the Madrid Chamber of Commerce. Ubaldo Yañez is Director at Voltiq. He started his career in 2009 at EADS Group (Airbus) working as an Intern in the Facility Maintenance Team. In 2011, he joined Spanish leading oil & gas company CEPSA as Business Analyst at the Exploration & Production division, where he actively participated in corporate valuations, M&A, divestments and asset evaluations for nearly 4 years. Prior to working at CEPSA, Ubaldo graduated in Chemical Engineering at Santiago de Compostela University, complemented with a M.Sc. in Energy and Markets from IFP School in Paris (Institut Français du Pétrole) and an MBA from EOI Business School in Seville, Spain. Baoqing Miao is Director at Voltiq’s Utrecht Office. Originally from China, he completed his bachelor in Mathematics from the National University of Singapore and Master in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and Duke University in the US. Baoqing has extensive international experience in the energy and environment sector. In Asia, he worked as project manager at one of the leading renewable and environment consulting firms Hunan Xiangke where he managed a portfolio of more than 180 renewable power projects across China and Southeast Asia. He also has investment experience in hydro power and waste heat recovery projects from clinker lines in China. In Europe, he has worked for Europe’s largest renewable generator Statkraft and leading energy research institution SINTEF in Norway. Baoqing is fluent in English and Mandarin. Ivana has 16 years of international experience in the area of climate change and sustainable development. She developed carbon reduction projects in Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Ivana has a track record in strategic advisory, business development and coordination of workgroups on climate change and sustainable development in the private sector. Ivana is a member of the Sustainability Committee of AMCHAM in Panama, member of the technical advisory committee of ANCON, member of the Executive Advisory Committee of the Verified Carbon Standard for Latin America and member of Executive Advisory Committee of development finance institution CAF for the implementation of the Paris Agreement from the private sector side. Ivana, who graduated as Chemical Engineer from La Plata University of Argentina, started her professional career in 2001 with MGM International and Morgan Stanley. Since 2008 she’s part of the board of directors of 33 Group and since 2015 General Director of PFS based in Panama. In 2016, following a cooperation agreement between 33 Group and Voltiq, Ivana joined Voltiq as Senior Director for the Central American and Caribbean regions. José Luis Álvarez is Analyst at Voltiq. He started his career in 2013 at General Electric working as an Intern in the Financial Controller Team. In 2014, he joined Deutsche Bank as an Intern in the Investment Banking Division, where he actively collaborated with the M&A, ECM and DCM teams. In 2015, José Luis joined PwC as a consultant developing projects for the Financial Function team. José Luis holds a M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a M.Sc. in Management from HEC Paris. José Luis is fluent in Spanish and English. Jippe has 16 years of experience in equity and debt structuring of projects in the energy sector, as well as strategic and M&A advisory to companies active in energy. He started as Account Manager at Dutch-Belgium bank Fortis, and then held various positions at Swedish-Dutch utility company Nuon, such as Finance Advisor to Nuon’s International Renewables Projects team, as well as Head of Gas Sourcing in charge of natural gas origination activities. As an independent advisor, Jippe advised a wide range of energy sector players like Vopak, Triogen, Continental Gas Storage, GreenChoice, Engie, and Altran. Richard has 22 years of experience in project and general management in the energy sector. From 2008 – 2010, Richard was responsible for business development activities for The Clean Energy Company, the renewable energy branch of global retail and distribution company SHV, in Austria and Eastern Europe. Prior to working for SHV, he worked on a variety of development projects worldwide for large energy companies such as OMV (renewables, oil & gas), energy commodity producers, and several investment companies. Richard has Petroleum Engineering degrees from the Leoben Mining University, Austria, and the University of Oklahoma. Richard is fluent in German and English. Mark Olie is Associate Legal Counsel at Voltiq, next to running his own legal practice. Mark is an experienced financial and energy derivatives lawyer and  founder of the Derivatives Law Academy (www.derivativeslawacademy.org). He has worked for and advised major financial institutions and energy companies on financial and energy derivatives agreements and ancillary documentation. Mark also has extensive corporate finance and M&A experience with a focus on transactions in Europe and Latin America and corporate bond issues. At Voltiq, for example, he has been instrumental in the sale and purchase of hundreds of MW’s of solar PV projects in Chile. Mark holds a Dutch law degree from Utrecht University and is also an alumnus of New York University School of Law from which he graduated with an LL.M. degree in U.S. corporate law. He is fluent in Dutch, English and Spanish.

Raoul is Senior Advisor to Voltiq. Raoul worked at Voltiq for 5 years, from 2010 until 2015, where he played a pivotal role to Voltiq's development. Raoul is nowadays based in Nairobi, Kenya, where he works as Senior Associate Renewable Energy Investments at ResponsAbility Investments AG, the Swiss responsible asset investor which manages USD 2.6 B invested in assets in 93 countries. Previous to Voltiq, he was Investment Analyst at Dynamic Credit Partners Europe and PGGM Investments during which he focused on Alternative Investments such as Infrastructure, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Structured Credit. Prior to working at Dynamic and PGGM, Raoul worked for ABN AMRO Bank as an intern of the Trading & Principal Strategies Group, which was involved in multi strategy proprietary trading across the globe. Raoul is fluent in Dutch and English.

Gera joined Voltiq soon after its inception in 2009. She has ample experience in office management work including accounting and administration, and overlooks Voltiq's administration regarding the different jurisdictions in which Voltiq is active. Gera is fluent in Dutch and English.
